Can you relate? How often do you make decisions based on how you feel in the moment? When we make choices based on how we feel, rarely are they the best choice for us. Instead of dealing with our stress, busyness, or feelings of overwhelm, habitually, we push our best choice to the side (or rarely even consider another choice) and grab for instant gratification. The choice that consistently gives us the "good feels" over and over again. The quick, comfortable decision that never lets us down…or does it?
For many of us, we have at least one...maybe several "go-to-feel-good" choices that our minds have found comfort in because we continue to choose them over and over again. Let me repeat that in case you missed it, "We Find Comfort In Certain Choices Because We Have Repeated This Same Pattern Of Decision Making Over And Over Again". Choices such as food, shopping, alcohol, binge watching TV, complaining, etc. are only "comforting" because over the last 10-20 years, they have been our "go-to-feel-good" choice.
Rarely, do these instant choices serve our best interest! Thankfully, there is another way!
What if you started to choose something NEW over and over again? What if you started to make choices that didn’t align with how you feel in the moment?
